Columbus, you do know that the Daleks will always lose, right? Defeated again and again, but come back…  only to be defeated again.
Yeah, that sounds about right.
By the way, this is a Doctor Who reference. Which is quite possibly the best television programme of all time.

Sorry for the lack of a photo,

but I’m watching the match at a mate’s house tonight (and unfortunately not in L.A.), and am currently typing this from her laptop.

Regardless, we are all excited to see our boys beat some L.A. scum tonight.

Come on you Quakes!

A snapshot I stole off of a friend’s blog from last week’s match.

The loss was a huge disappointment, but the night was still fun.

The Quakes have just signed Ecuadoran international forward Edmundo Zura on loan from El Nacional.

He’s being brought into the Quakes lineup in hope of creating some action in the box. I’m not going to expect too much from Zura, but right now, anything at all will help.

Here’s to hoping you do something (at least) moderately productive, it will be fully welcomed.

Even in the NASL days LA still beat the earthquakes…cant call them smurfs on this one tho…Even though I wasn’t alive for this….I still felt myself cringing at the thought of the San Jose earthquakes.

Vamos Galaxy ….and Aztecs

I think it may be time for a short trip down memory lane…
(For all purposes of this blog the W/L will be assigned to whichever result San Jose pulled in).
05/21/2005 LA Vs. SJ 2-1 L
06/25/2005 SJ Vs. LA 3-0 W
08/27/2005 SJ Vs. LA 2-1 W
04/03/2008 LA Vs. SJ 2-0 L
06/14/2008 SJ Vs. LA 0-3 L
08/03/2008 SJ Vs. LA 3-2 W
04/18/2009 SJ Vs. LA 1-1 T
06/20/2009 SJ VS. LA 2-1 W
10/24/2009 LA Vs. SJ 2-0 L
07/22/2010 LA Vs. SJ 2-2 T
08/21/2010 SJ Vs. LA 1-0 W
06/25/2011 SJ Vs. LA 0-0 T

What is that, 5 wins to San Jose and 4 wins to LA along with 3 ties since 2005? To say “even in the NASL days LA still beat the earthquakes…” might be a bit of a hyperbole, seeing as in all actuality LA has a losing record against San Jose.

We May Have Lost The Match,

but you know you’ve had a good time when you cannot stop singing chants inside your head, the palms of your hands are covered in bruises from clapping (thank you anemia), and you hair still has the faint smell of beer in it (thank you drunk guy behind me).

I’m surprised

it took nearly a week for someone to reblog my post regarding Real Salt Lake’s acting skills and come back with some hint of a rebuttal.

I really was expecting a more prompt reaction.
